Drill Tech excavated a 9.5′ horseshoe x 540′ long tunnel utilizing an AM50 roadheader and installed a 60′ long x 55′ wide x 50′ deep elliptical shaft around a large live sewer utilizing sequential excavation methods. Sinkholes were encountered around the shaft, so micropiles were installed for stabilization. Drill Tech designed and installed a 3,000 SF soldier pile and wood lagging retaining wall and installed draped mesh for protection from potential rockfall.
