Sheet pile walls consist of interlocked steel members, typically “Z” shaped, that are driven or vibrated to a determined depth below the base of a retained material. These pile walls provide retention support through stiff vertical wall elements and passive resistance from the ground beneath the finished grade. Sheet piles can retain both earth and water and are an effective choice when shoring needs are temporary, as the piles can be vibrated out of the soil relatively easily. Drill Tech’s fleet of construction equipment can vibrate or press sheet piles up to 80 feet in a single stroke.
